new to the flock
This is my youngests first go at it. He is 5 and picked the pieces and then I helped put them together. I was surprised at just how much he did. After starting the shank and head holes with a pilot hole he drilled those. He glued the rod in and after I shaped the handle and the band he assembled those. Then I waxed it. The shank is Blue Beech The handle is a White Tail Deer Cornet Copper bands at top and bottom. He used it today on a two and a half hour walk down along the river. carrying it the whole time and only putting it down while chucking rocks in the water
