Lancs Lad
All, just thought I would post this. I came home tonight to see my bank statement in the post, I opened it up and had a quick glance through....I dont usulay give it that much attention normally. However, when having a quick flick I noticed a number of transactions to O2. Pre Pay call centre. I dont have an O2 phone.. I called my bank, there were 4 transactions. totaly 120 quid............ CARD FRAUD...... Some little beggar has cloned my card and is using it to top up their mobiles.... Double check your statements, no doubt a few more people would have got them today... Lancs Lad
the exact same thing has happened to my mate and he's having a lot of trouble sorting it out All seems ok with my bank at the moment,,,,cancelled the cards, put through to their fraud team, they are sorting it out... Couple of things coming through the post in next couple of days for me to sign off, then they should be sorting it out without any problems.... Card was my switch card, looks like its been cloned when I have put it into a cash point machine...

white fox
A mate had his wallet lifted six weeks ago, police found that a bank had video of of the thief/fraudster making cash withdrawal at a cash machine, showing her face clearly and pin number entry. The bank after six weeks has only just given the video to the police, claiming data protection act prevented them from doing so. My mate and the police were not impressed by this attitude. Also the bank would not tell my mate what PIN number the thief/fraudster was using, police intimated that the bank may have a security problem, in that there may be an engineers/service code that works with any card, of course bank has not confirmed this. Scary stuff WF
