djgeoff
advise please: self adhesive type or the window channel fixing type? which would you think is better?
gixer1
I am looking at some for my freelander 2 at the moment - and I'm leaning towards the channel ones as I don't trust the sticky pads in havin to deal with extreme heat and cold. jocko25
HEKO wind deflectors, fit in the channel
djgeoff
yep i must admit i was kinda thinking the channel ones might be better, i did have that type on my volvo estate but one of the windows was a bit tight closing and the clip was scratching the window tint film at the top edges of window. i think i will stay with channel fit thanks
39TDS
Are they worth having? What do they do, and how well do they do it? I have a Terrano but hasn't got any fitted.
djgeoff
well to be honest i got them for my volvo car because i always drive with window down a bit and when it rained water used to drip from top of window and fall inside car onto door electric window/lock/mirror controls and they do deflect the wind so its no blowing your face off and at that time i smoked and i could flick the ash out without it blowing back at me
39TDS
I think I can probably live without then. Thanks
mrwabbits
They`re a bit like marmite - like it or hate it. I have a set of 3M adhesive stick-on ones on the landy , and personally, ime well happy with their performance so far. Mine have seen all weather conditions and thus far have never been a problem in the nine months they have been on. They do keep out windrush and rain spray / splash and droplets from entering the cab area with a couple of inches window gap. I like to keep the windows cracked for some fresh air - that aux natch ural moment Being a landy, there are already plenty of fresh air vents anyway , so a couple of others wont hurt Quote : 1. Are they worth having? For me personally -Yes 2. What do they do ? They prevent outside vehicle windrush and weather elements (rain + water droplets) from entering within vehicle cab area whilst travelling with the windows cracked open. For those who have `air-con' in their vehicle , you may never feel the need, unless you fancy a bit of added `bling' 3. , and how well do they do it? Very well thank you .
