Whitebridges
Any idea how much feed barley or wheat is at the moment? Our usual supplier has packed in and i'd appreciate a rough guide price before I start ringing round. Cheers all.

Whitebridges
Thanks, looking at £8 a cwt and about £6 for sweepings. Sourced some split beans as well. Got half a dozen ponds which the quackers used last year and want to get going earlier than we did last year.
Down South
I paid £70 a ton bagged staight from the farm last year. Farmer says about the same again this year. If you can bypass the merchants it's much cheaper.
HAMMY
We've paid 125/ton bagged, good quality but too expensive, I've just paid 80/t from a farm quality poor and undried, all wheat, yields are down so I expect it shall be more expensive this year. Buying better quality saves a lot of time and effort unblocking springs, especialy if you have a lot of feeders. Hammy

HAMMY
Aye maybe regional, but the bulk of UK grain is grown down south in Bandit country which has been too dry. Barley over this neck is OK, but straw is too short. Hammy

Whitebridges
Thanks for your help guys. Wheat yields round here seem to be down. Ordered half a ton for Saturday, ready for the first feed Sunday. We'll trickle it in for the next three weeks or so.
