MagiKelly
The barley is 3/4 cut on my permission but halted for a few days due to rain. I'm planning an all day shoot tomorrow so went out today for a couple of hours to see where the best spot would be. Thought I may as well take the gun and decoys since I would be sitting in one spot anyway As it turned out I set up pretty close to an ideal spot so tomorrow will be close to where I was. Managed 13 woodies and 6 crows in my stint. Looking good for tomorrow. Still working on Sam's retrieving. She is good with dummies but still getting used to feather. I have high hopes for her. Rotties are not natural gundogs but she is so keen to please.
RED BEARD
good luck for tomorrow ,try her just retrieving a wing at first, and when used to that the soft feathers might not bother her as much.
MagiKelly
The difference a day makes. The weather was not as good today for shooting. Still got over 40 corvids (mostly jackdaws) and 14 pigeon.
