funkey monkey Posted September 2, 2012 Report Share Posted September 2, 2012 Hi I have just received a air arms s410 xtra It's a very nice rifle but it dose have a little downfall I find it's very easy to knock the power adjustment knob without noticing Casusing me to miss rabbits grr Is there anyway of fixing it in place. Thanks sam I have one too and it really is a PITA. I spoke to the Air-Arms chap at Kelmarsh Country Fair and he told me to send it back to the factory under warranty to be adjusted (probably by fitting a larger O ring) but that means losing it for maybe a month which is another PITA. tweedledee Posted September 2, 2012 Report Share Posted September 2, 2012 cant see any reason to have the venturi valve to adjust power. the older s410 xtra fixed power was so much simpler. another let down by air arms. they really need to pick up their game in the fac market, that new twin cylinder is not the way to go either. It's great in theory to give you more choice over how much power you are putting out but the actual adjustment is so coarse that one of the tiny increments can mean 5 fpe or more difference so it's not really repeatable in any meaningful way.
