duck shooting on a river (public foot path)

i have been granted some new permission witch includes

a 16 acre feild with a river running down the side (but) its a public

footpath down the side, i was wondering would i be best to decoy in feild

60/100yrds away from the river,, or on the river it self but this would involve

me being right on the public footpath

BASC reckon..."When the footpath runs across private land the ownership of the land and sporting

rights are unaltered. Therefore a person with the shooting/sporting rights may

shoot on or over footpaths on their land equally to public having the right to walk

(to pass and re-pass) along it as a means of communication. So the public and the

shooters have a concurrent right to the footpath and it is up to both parties to not

obstruct the other."

yeh or u might get reported as a terrorist and the old bill come 4 a chat been there done that .public footpaths crisscross where i shoot and i got reported as a masked terrorist ,the old bill laughed their head off when they found just me decoying pigeons
