FOXHUNTER1
After finding a fresh fraying stock on Saturday I decided to have a look out first thing this morning to see if I could catch up with this buck. I arrived at 6am and proceeded to the far end of the ground to keep right with the wind. Saw nothing to start with but then spotted 2 roe (buck and doe) crossing open fields. I knew they would be heading for the small copse nearby so I got a spurt on and ran to the copse getting myself ready on my sticks and waited for them to appear. I was waiting on the run at the corner of the copse and after waiting 5 mins or so the doe appeared first and walked to within 5 yards of me before noticing me , then she ran off. I thought the game was over but waited in case they came back. After another 5 mins and seeing nothing I moved forward a few steps which is when the buck appeared He bounded off to around 60 yards or so , I was following on my sticks for that usual glance back and that was his downfall So the plan worked Photobucket not working properly for pic Edited September 4, 2012 by FOXHUNTER1
