HDAV
Try rotten apples or Simtek websites Could be a knackered dock connector draining the power through a naff pin, does it hit ? JBS
Thanks gents just carnt seem to find a answer on the net as some seem to say it more serious than a battery I have just replaced my battery for the second time in my 3gs, I knew it was had it when it suddenly started turning off when the battery said 30% left or shut down when I went to use iPod or camera. A new battery is a couple of quid but buy one with the kit to replace it as a couple of the tools can be quite handy, it's a but fiddley to do but worth it, just make sure everything is synced before you do it

JBS
The last one i bought doesnt seem quite as good as the one before but i did go for the cheapest i could find as im expecting the iphone 5 to be released anytime now, my last battery went downhill quickly, i noticed the battery didnt seem quite as good and within a month it would turn off just by trying to write a text. Theres loads of videos on youtube showing how to change the battery but some are better than others
