GingerCat
I find if I'm using size 7 that cylinder in the bottom and quater in the top is fine. Failing that and if going larger than 7 (and you will for crows) then quarter in the bottom and half in the top does just about everything. I try to keep shots under 35 yards with 40 as max. Apprenlty the lesser choke in the first barrel gives quicker sight picture on the second shot, can't say I've noticed too much, provided that the bottom barrel is selected to pop first of course. More importantly make sure u bring something to eat and a flask of coffee, guaranteed to attract pigeons as soon as u get the sarnies out. Have fn. stu nesling
just put 1/4 + 1/2 in and leave em in there, doesn;t matter which barrel as long as you can select which fires first. even then it wont make much difference if you are not on target. will sort all out between 10 + 40 yards with 5/6 or 7's. std seems to be 1/4 in bottom 1/2 in top.
