tony51
Hi all, not a bad season up here in North Wales so far,so far have shot 2 mallard,3 widgeon a canada and the icing on the cake my first drake pintail of the season this morning. We tend to get a fair few Pintail here and this season looks like it will continue.Another bonus is the numbers of early widgeon that seem to be growing daily. Mission for next week with the smaller tides is to get into the saltings on the other side of our estuary where my good friend Terry assures me I will get under what are very elusive teal. Yoggy
Well done mate, congratulations. Pintails eluded me for many years, it got to the point where it actually became frustrating at certain times!!!. ......So I promised myself I`d have my first one stuffed and placed in a nice glass case...........which i did!. Gutty Boots
Never had a pintail off the shore, though had plenty a few miles inland over ponds & splashes.

Where abouts inland in the highlands is that,(only if you don't mind me asking)? Thought they were like hens teeth
