Maldwyn
My new toy and the first couple of rabbits killed with it. Fitted with a second hand Schmidt & Bender 6x42 and a swivel Harris Bipod. After spending the previous weekend zeroing, I could'nt wait to try it out for real on Saturday. Went out for a couple of hours before dusk, as I walked into one grass meadow I spotted two rabbits on the edge of the woods. They were both totally oblivious to my presence and as I went down into the prone position, extended the bipod, they both started coming nearer towards me. When the first one was about 60yds away, he dropped to my shot and the second rabbit ran about 5 yrds before stopping. When he did stop broadside on, he dropped to my second shot. On examining the rabbits, the shot placement on the first was just below the ear and the second one through the chest. Well chuffed with the Sako, I now have a spare .243 slot to fill for deer/fox.
