  5. I'm staying down near Goring for a couple of weeks, (from next Monday), and the Mrs is moaning about having to walk the Springer whilst I'm away. Does anyone know of kennels near there that wouldn't mind me popping in every day to walk and train him? It would only be Monday to Friday and I'm not sure when during the day it would be. I've had a look on line , but can't seem to find anything that fits the bill. So I'm seeing if any of you fine folk have any ideas. Many thanks P.
  6. Cheers everyone, think I'll probably go with that. Figgy, I'll have a go with the Nikwax, but the way it came through the shoulders, I'll be surprised if it works. P.
  7. The very expensive Musto I was given a few years ago, turns out to leak like a sieve. This Seeland jacket doesn't seem too expensive and seems to tick all the boxes. After your thoughts please folks. Cheers P.
  8. Afternoon, I'm after a 1" spacer pad for my Beretta 686s. It's turning out to be a bit of a mission as it seems to be a weird size. The gun was manufactured in 1988 and the holes where the butt plate attaches to the stock, appear to be different to more modern guns. Newer plates for game guns have holes that are too close together, while sporters are too far apart. The holes on the present butt plate are 130mm apart. The lower one is 35mm from the centre of the hole to the edge of the plate. The top one is 17mm. All help greatly appreciated, this is turning into something I wish I'd never started πŸ™„ P.

  16. Hi all, just about to get a new permission, but they need me to submit a risk assessment. Does anyone have one that I could "bastardise", or could someone point me in the direction of where I could find one. It's with a .22lr or air rifle, no shotguns. Cheers P.

    Patterdale Sire

Hi folks, our little black Patterdale terrier bitch is in season. We're after a small, black, rough/smooth coated dog to put too her. We're just o/s Chelmsford, but willing to travel a bit. She'll be just right in the next 5-7 days. Any out there? Usual pup/fees apply. P.

  22. I'm looking at getting an 1878 Remington New Model Army .44 replica, black powder pistol. I'm wondering what I need to put on my variation application? P.
  23. £100 sounds a perfect sort of price and I love those barrels 😍 P.
  24. Afternoon, I've recently acquired a nice 12g hammergun, damascus barrels, nice wood and in proof. Before I go off and start using it, I'd like to get it stripped down and serviced. The forend grip on it is also a bit loose, but isn't the type you can tighten up with a screw. Its worth about Β£400 , so I was wondering how much all of the above would cost to get done, assuming there isn't anything horrendously wrong with it! Also, any recommendations for a gunsmith that could do the work near Chelmsford? P.
