JDog
I had two hours on a bean stubble this afternoon. For the first time in years in view of the fact that I would have to carry my kit for miles I decided not to set up a normal hide, nor use a rotary, relying instead on a double hedge for cover and four dead pigeons to start with. There was a very strong wind coming from behind me and on getting started I could see two flight lines in the distance, one of which came directly towards me. Most of the birds were young ones and therefore easy to decoy and I packed up having had a great afternoon. I picked 43 of which 33 were young birds.
