kiffy
hi folks, im after a scope for my falcon light hunter fn12. although the rifles had virtually no use (less than 500 shots) ive had it about six years and when i bought it i made a mistake in my scope choice.... the joys of mail order i guess! i bought a hawk nite eye 6.5-20 x 50. dont get me wrong its a cracking scope but at 17 inches long shes a monster and id really like something smaller... i bought the falcon as i wanted a small light gun and the scopes just SO out of place on it. ive attached a photo so you can see it so im looking at a change, ive spent an arm and a leg recently buying a couple of shotguns, stock of cartridges, safe etc.. well not a fortune by many peoples standards but one by mine so im not loooking at spending a fortune or should i say i cant afford to spend a fortune... as i havent bought a scope in years i dont know current pricing or so i dont have a budget in mind other than wanting a fairly decent and relaible scope for as little as possible. like the illuminated reticule of my nite eye so wouldnt mind one of those as well... so any ideas? secretagentmole
What is wrong with the scope you have? What reticle has it got?
kiffy
nothing at all wrong with it but its big and im looking at adding an ns50 nitesite to the gun, and from posts ive seen on here the starting power of 6.5 is to high to get a good picture focus reticule, not a clue.. its cross hair with dots and it lights up
Alycidon
Simmons if on a tight budget. Not optically brilliant when compared to scopes 10 times the price but for the price not bad at all, and they hold zero. I had a small 25mm Simmons scope on a rimfire. Best value would be a used european 6x42. A

No problems at all, remember you can change the focus on the camera of the NS50 or the resolution on the eye bell of the scope, it is all adjustable!
