mr salt Posted November 13, 2012 Report Share Posted November 13, 2012 hi search flea bay for alarm battery . or look at screw fix.they sell 3 sizes the small ones ok for flappers the middle one for magnet, Just use a car charger or a cheap trickle charger from ebay. Cosd Posted November 13, 2012 Report Share Posted November 13, 2012 A magnet draws roughly 2amps per hour, so a 12amp battery will give you roughly 6 hrs use on the magnet. You can choose whether you need 1 large battery or 2 smaller ones. Consider the weight if you have to carry long distances to the hide. Personally I keep 2 x 12amp batteries leaving one in the car. filzee Posted November 14, 2012 Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 when i was 16 me and a friend decided to take the battery off the combine and use that. would suggest doing that.
