greener86
Having bought a Pedretti 410. The other week had it out a bit and the range is limited bought for the crows but its like the crows are sticking to feathers up saying missed. I love the gun as I its light weight compact but not to happy with the shot patten or range I so thinking of part ex it for the hushpower 20g got a lot more range and knock down power than the 410. + next year the farmer said to me he ether planting wheat, barley maize were I shoot on hoping it will be better for the pigeons and there is a lot of crow activy in the area I only thing is the cost of the 20g of the shells . I do have a 12 g but like the Idear of quietness
Tod
why a hushpower, do you shoot near houses ? if not just stick with a 12g, if you do need a hushpower get the o/u investarm and not the pump as they are really front heavy and long and not nice to shoot, also expect to pay a lot more for the hushpower shells. greener86
Cheers for the input made me realize range and patterning back to the trusty old G . P greener let my son use the 410. Start looking for a o/u 12g straight stock .
86inch
To the OP, what cartridges are you using? I use my Mossberg pump .410 and it knocks down rabbits and hares at 25-30yds no problem with Eley 2.5" fourlongs (12.5g). I don't bother with the 3" subsonics - they don't seem to have the same knock-down power and are no quieter. The only problem i find with the Mossberg is that cycling cartridges makes more noise than firing the thing!
