solz
You do more hijacking than **** Turpin! Lol. Get the Benelli! If you don't like it you can sell it to me for two thirds of what you paid for it! Lol! I can't believe it censored the shortened version of Richard! Lol sorry. If I started a new topic for every question I had I would properly get banned for spamming lol

I've moved from an old Benelli SL80 (known as "clunkety clunk" by my good friends, you know who you are) semi to this and the felt recoil difference alone is incredible. I tried the gun straight from the box and unless it was beginners luck, I was shooting well with it from the off ( a left and a right for first 2 shots to be precise ). The gun is nicely balanced, it is a little on the chunky side but that's my preference anyway. The rubberised finish means the grip is good and on a cold day like it was yesterday, provided a warmer feel over wood which I was used to. It swings and shoulders well. It strips down quickly thanks to the forend cap which takes a 1/4 turn to release, making a quick clean easy. My only gripe with it is that it didn't come with a full set of chokes (only comes with cylinder, 1/2 and full), for a gun which is marked up at a full RRP of just under £2k, I think there should have been 2 more chokes in the box. The gun oozes quality, I for one am really happy with it. Cos

SEshooter
Good choice, had mine for 6 months and love it. Easy to break down and clean. Straight out the box fitted me like a dream. Recently got a code black choke and yet to pattern it with some big steel loads. What length barrel did you go for?

I have shot my friends 26" Xtreme and that also felt well balanced.
SEshooter
Mine is 28" and probably the only thing I'm not to sure about. It does feel a bit long when in a small hide. Wonder what it would cost for a 26" barrel? And would it be just a case of 28" off, 26" on?

I understand what you mean. thing is I want to take up wildfowling this year so opted for the 28, plus that is the length I ma used to with the old Benelli. Not sure if it's a straight swapover. Send an email to Beretta if anyone here can't help and ask. If they say yes, try your luck on here, you never know someone may want to go the other way. I was in touch with GMK workshop for other bits and asked the question and they confirmed you can simply slot another barrel onto your gun. He said there are a limited selection available (whatever that means), but I have no idea what they cost.

kiffy
ive seen lots of comparisons between the benelli super black eagle and baretta a400 being the two best guns, as someone who until monday had an sbe2 and now has an a400 i must say even though i have only put a dozen rounds through my a400 to test it theres no comparison for me.. the a400 is miles better... soooooo smooth one issue with the a400 is the camo wrap is really poorly applied with quite a few issues and a lot of chips down to the metalwork... so many that the guns going back on friday or saturday, fair play to the gun shop (keens guns - aberkenfig) they have been brilliant
kiffy
a small update on the camo issue i had with my a400 as mentioned above, had it replaced and the new one had issues as well.. none down to the metal work so i kept it as its obviously going to get a few more when in use. i did make a truly stupid mistake which i probably shouldnt mention as everyone who knows already has taken the micky... as a left handed shooter buying a right handed gun the safety was onthe wrong side but looking online its a simple process to swap it over so straight back from the gun shop i dropped the trigger assembley out covered the small home to stop the spring coming loose and slowly loosed the allen bolt that retained it... then ping! i covered the wrong damn hole and lost the spring. it took my local rfd three weeks to get a new spring. its tiny about 8mm long and 2mm wide.. and cost me nine quid due to work/weather/time of year i went out yesterday and it had its first proper use.. put about 150 through it and although my shooting was.. well been as we have a swear filter here lets just say not very good... by the time id finished my shoulder felt fresh as a daisy as if i hadnt shot a gun at all.. the gun with the gadgets in the stock really does work and theres a lot less jackdaws and crows in hereford now comparing the super black eagle and a400 is simple... even with the camo issues... buy beretta!
