Topgunners Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 We went out yesterday with the intention of finding some pigeons but instead we found some crows on some newly drilled wheat. The boys shot off to set up their hide and deeks and we (myself and Al) sat and watched them whilst debating where to set up our stall. The boys started shooting from the off and were having some cracking shots and we sat amazed at their kill ratio. Not missing hardly any. Well done boys. we decided to set off up the opposite hill and half way up it chucked it down. we got to the top and set up the brolly. Both drowned as rats. It then rained continuous for an hour and the boys were still banging away (under their brolly) About 12 o'clock they decided they were too cold and picked up 51 crows and we sat it out in the rainand shot 23 crows and 7 pigeons. All in all not a bad bag considering it hissed it down ALL day. Soggy but happy at a job done for the farmer. Dave K Brollies were a godsend.
