Guest Keith
Hi fellow pigeon shooters, up here in North East Scotland my biggest problem is getting the bag to the game dealer which is 30 miles away. The only way out is to freeze my birds and take them to the game dealer when I have enough to justify the trip. I only get 10p each for them. Whats the going rate in your area ? Cranfield
Hi Keith, my price varies throughout the year, its normally between 9p and 12p each, it has been as high as 15p. I freeze mine until I have 50 to 100 birds to take in. The chap who takes mine is not a Game Dealer, I think he is an Agent who collects the birds for a Game Dealer. If I could supply the Game Dealer direct, I might get a better price.

kevin15
look in the back of shooting times there 2 or 3 adverts for pigeons wanted and a collection service nation wide you should be getting at least 20p each this time of year

Deako
We use whichever dealer gives the best price, but it's always a minimum of 15p, the best being 25p. The dealers in S.T. will collect nationwide, but you normally need to have at least 300 birds for them, sometimes 500+ to make it worth their while.......... Deako
Take a look at the prices on the Hull Game website, and see what they are charging for woodpigeon products!. I know they have big overheads to run these businesses but a maximum of 20p per woody seems to be a little out of date......maybe its time we all held back our supplies for a while to make 'em realise we're due a price rise.
