New acquisition a 10 bore hmm.

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

By happenstance I have aquired a zebarla sbs 3 1/2 10 bore in good nick. I was just going to sit on it for a bit and sell it on. But I think I will give it a go maybe a venture into wild fowling at a later date. ( lots of learning to be done before that I think)

What I was woundering is there any 10 bore reloaders on here that could give me a run now of what I will be needing to get me started.

I was thinking some lead loads and to use it for crows untill I feel confident enough to move onto fowel.

Thanks

Karl.

Well I picked up the 10 bore today and its in mint condition :) a bit heavy but I will get used to it. Think it's a keeper see how I get on with reloading for it first though.

Does anyone in the Doncaster area shoot/ reload 10 bore ?

I'm not picking on you tony ;) I will let you shoot the teddy next outing mate ;) ha ha

I got into reloading for the ten last season. I dropped on a second hand steel master on the bay. Mainly load steel now. Should be fun blasting a few blackies with it but it won't be cheap!

Hi pal. Ha ha yes a bit pricy but talk about bang for you money ;):good:

Where have you found good for components ?

Thanks

Karl.

I just used clay and game. They aren't the cheapest but they are local and with my lack of knowledge, I found Steve really helpful. He must have spent a good hour with me the 1st time I went helping me get loader set up and right gear and loads for what I wanted. You defiantly get A bang. Saw our kid hit a crow with one of the home loads I am sure it pushed it back a good foot when he hit it and it defiantly wasn't a runner!
