youngshot
Hello again! Im doing a school project in Design Technology at the moment. Here is some of the brief ... "Choosing a hobby of your choice highlight a product. You must show through presentation skills, exploded views and 3 dimensional drawing skills the saftey aspects involved legalisation and companies in place to certify safety, includind their company logos" I have chosen a shotgun as my product, could anybody give me any information about legislation, companys, proof marks etc etc preferably with sources (eg web site address). Also my main sticking point for the moment is finding exploded diagrams of shotguns! Does anybody know were i can get hold of these or has some that they could email me? Thanks in advance Young Shot

Hunter
GCSE D&T (design and technology, also known as Resistant matiriels) was the only thing I got good marks in A*. This was because of the drawing and write ups.The actual practical side hade very little to do with it, but if you do hand drawn diagrams with a pencil, then label in black pen, and border all diagrams, you will get some serious marks from the examiner Pitty I will never find a good gob, as my maths have let me down, and il be stuck to something boring oneday For the legal side of shotguns, you should google the Home Office Firearms Guidance (downloadable PDF file) also known as 'HO-Firearms-Guidance' and look at the procedure of things. It will tell you about proofing etc. For the sales side of things, I will be happy to give oy a few pointers through PM as I work in a gunshop sometimes. Good luck, neat drawings, plenty of research, plenty of printed and stuck in photos with explanations and youl do fine. Here are some links I found that may have some useful info: http://www.durham.police.uk/info/firearms/...f_procedure.php Some more sections.. http://www.durham.police.uk/info/firearms/proof/index.php Met police shotgun laws/guides http://www.met.police.uk/firearms-enquiries/shotguns.htm
