Mr Rizzini
Been looking around the forum and seeing some nice rimfires which reminded me that I have one and haven't used it since liverpool where top of the league, Reason I haven't used it much is because it has iron sights and no way of fitting a scope , My question is What are my options if it doesnt have a scope rail? Its a late 40's - early 50's bsa .22 rimfire

robbiep
A silly question maybe, but how on earth have you managed to keep it for that long, on a ticket, without use ? I was always under the impression that you had to show 'need' for anything on FAC. Not using a rifle for since the 1940's surely can't be said to need it ? Alanl50
I made mine for my BSA Sportsman, it was easy, bored tube to the O/D of the receiver cut away so I had a section which fiited the back part of the receiver, welded riser block to the bored section then welded scope rail to the block in line with centre of barrel, matched drilled through bored section to the receiver and tapped receiver polished and blued it looked the dogs obviously if you have the gear must have put another £10.00 on the value of my gun. lol It was a really accurate rifle Alan
