fishingtex
Visiting family in Gloucestershire and decided to take my brother in law to do some clays. The nearest clay ground only a couple of miles away was called Chessgrove Shooting School at Longhope. We called in to ask if we could use their facilities. What a lovely bunch of people. The grounds are not massive but enough for a few hours of fun. Kettle for tea and coffee supplied for you to use whenever you want a bonus. A few easy clays and a few challenging ones as well. I would recommend anyone in the area to call in for a friendly welcome and a pleasant round of clays.

SakoQuad
Do they have a website? Yes - Google Chessgrove Shooting to find it. Steve Batt is a tremendous character and very welcoming. Free tea / coffee and sausage rolls at 10 and 11 if you are lucky. Small ground with around half a dozen stands over a very shot up small orchard, good fun! fruity
Thanks http://www.chessgroveshooting.co.uk/ hmmm about an hour from me when are they open and is it fibre wad only? Carts for sale? cost for a round? Pricelist on site only shows lesson are they open for pay and play? HDAV there is a shoot every sunday morning, but opening times are very flexible, if you ring beforehand most the time steve will say come alone and pay and play. Fibre wad ONLY as its set up in his orchard and next to fields . Prices are around £22 for 50 inc carts. Carts are for sale usually fiocchi top ones, sometimes saga,s £45 a slab (12 g ) cant remeber what (20g) are. A nice little ground, great for a bit of practice , ohh !! just one thing to mention , no semi,s to be used at the ground All info approx and hope it helps
fishingtex
We had our own carts and guns, we were charged £13 per 50 clays. Works on an honesty system which you say how many clays you've had a go at. Like I said previously really friendly and welcoming. A pleasurable day out.
