She has only started this recently and if it continues I know my woman will diff pull the pin and want shot of it. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help
Willow32
The crate should be a place of comfort, do you feed her in there? Put her water in there ? Also give her treats when she is in there ?....if not try giving it a go. She is still very young try putting an old shirt or something you wear in there so she can sleep on it...make her feel more secure. Willow32
Hope it works, also chuck a cuddly toy in, something for her/him to snuggle up to. Cheers willow32

ferguson_tom
Do you only put her in her crate at night? Try leaving the door open for her during the day so she can go in and out as she pleases, also try closing her in it while you are about not just before you got to sleep or leave her. They quickly learn being locked in the crate means you are going away and she will be left alone. If she is yapping its probably because she is distressed for some reason, putting her in the car will only make things worse and you may find you have a dog that never wants to get in your car. Mr Rizzini
Cheers Tom I will try leaving the door opened more during the day and adding a teddy etc to see how she gets on.
WelshAndy
I covered twm's (my black lab) crate with a bath towel, the breeder told me that puppies associate the dark with a den?! It it worked for me anyway. Good luck there is nothing worse than a crying pup!
WGD
If it's just started it's taking the you know what, ignore it. Moving the crate closer to you is just rewarding the noise, move it away and leave it in until it shuts up.

Mr Rizzini
problem seems to be cured with a few extra blankets and a teddy
