This may sound a silly question but... Why do most semi autos have a short lenth of pull? When most other guns o/u sbs have on average 14.5" lenth of pull? I cant think why other than they may be designed to be easier to shoot from a hide?

will a short lenth of pull effect the shooters performance or are these guns designed to compensate this in some way?

if i dont ask il never know lol

I don't think semi's are shorter in the stock, as for shorter for hide use I would say the gun has to fit wether it's for hide use or not 14.5 or 14.75 is the average lop for most people so gun suppliers make them that length. That's my opinion anyway

All the best mate, Tristram
