elz
Yes the best feeling ever looking over the land that you know you have just got. I have been shooting on 30 acres for the past year now but its a bit to far away from home so the closer 90 acres is better. Not bad really, been shooting for a year now and i have got 120 acres. HAPPY DAYS
Catamong
Yes, door knocking works much better than mailshots, most of which go straight in the farmers bin. I've found it pays to knock when you've seen the birds on a particular field, and offer to "just keep them off for the day". That usually works as you are not then committing the farmer to a general permission, if you then pop back to the farm to let him know how you've got on, tell him you haven't left any litter, the usual reply is "come back whenever you like". It's worked for me, I've now got more land to shoot over than I could possibly cover. Cat.
dazzyboi
I thought i wouldnt have a chance in hell, until i started knocking on farms on the way home from work (shirt, tie, shooes etc) after a couple of weeks i have 2 farms to shoot over totalling at about 500 acres I will keep looking as i want more farms growing crops, ill start looking again soon.
