I have recently moved from South Bucks, where most of my permissions are and am looking for shooting in this area. At present my licence covers me for FAC .22, air rifle, .22 rimfire and 17 HMR rifles for vermin, mostly rabbits, but would like to join a club, or find some pigeon shooting to add shot gun to my ticket. I would appreciate any help from members on the subject.

I recently started a web site http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/, which covers my exploits in my urban environment, which members may be interested in.

Hi Muss12, Downsized to a smaller house and gave the profit to the kids to help them out. Plenty of land around, just got to get some permissions. Any shooting clubs about?

There's plenty of land just a pain trying to get permissions! I share a small permission with 7 other shooters so its very hard at times. There's smallbore clubs all around here, pinewood thats only about 2 miles away, then Windsor and maidenhead there's clubs, then the main one is bisley.

Cheers Muss12, All my permissions have horses, or cattle on, so a shot gun is a no-no due to " Don't want you scaring the animals" hence air rifle only on some. Best one I had was barns, plus other buildings and three fields totalling 90 acres. I could take mates there shooting ferals and rats, or rabbiting the fields. Now the son has a house on it and i can't shoot the barns, as his wife doesn't want their kids upset, while i can only shoot the fields, when there are no cattle in them, limited to me only. On another the old boy died and the new owners have polo ponies on it, so i have to phone to arrange a visit, it often not being "convenient" for them. This one is at Sherlock Row 15 minutes away and although only seven acres had plenty of rabbits and roosting pigeons. A great loss. I know I am wingeing, when most people can't get one permission, but it's a shame the way the "touchy feelies" are taking over the land round here.
