Conygree Posted November 15, 2006 Report Share Posted November 15, 2006 no way would I use any pull throught metal type sharpeners, use oil or water stones. Most old knives can be sharpened with a butchers steel but many new knives are harder so use oil/water stones with a honing stone to finish.
