flash
im looking to get the design for a double compartment ferret box, with a bow back. its to keep me occupied in half term and cant be to difficult as i will only have limited equipment and time, basically 2 days maximum. if i cant get the design i will resort to either buying one or using the cat carrier which i dont want to have to do. cheers
Ferret Master
Have a look on the web for the pics. I doubt you will need a seperate compartnent one if you just have your 2 jills. My bowback one is a single compartment and I'm not too sure how they shape the wood at the back. FM :look:
NickHead
Hi guys, I made a 3 compartment box out of 3mm plywood. Never made one before, just thought I'd build a new one for my brotherinlaw as a surprise. Started from no plans, just the maximum size of the compartments based on an old box. 3mm ply is easy to shape at the back. You just build your main frame first and then cut the 3mm ply a bit longer. Secure it at one end,put wood glue on the frame, force it round the bend and then clamp it in place whilst you nail/screw it together. It came out quite nicely and we now use it all the time. NickHead
I made the inners removable when the lids are open. So as not to accidently let the ferrets get together, or if I use 2 ferrets and the middle for the nets, or 1 ferret and a large compartment. Scully
That takes me back! I have a single semi circular bow backed ferret box somewhere. Must ratch it out.
