at three quid its amazing. I bought it at a fiver and then bought anotherone when the price dropped to £3.50 and it was slightly lower quality build but still fantastic, runs of one aa battery and does plenty for a nights lamping.

Reviews suggest you get better results with 14500 3.6v batteries, these are rechargable and avialable here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultra-900mAh-Rechargeable-Batteries-Battery/dp/B00ABE7IA0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1359493752&sr=8-2

That being said i run mine off of normal AA disposables and they work out just fine.

I have posted this set up before but here it is again. It is a Red or Green cree ultrafire lamp with scope mount and pressure switch.

I have used this for a while now and as a budget set up I dont think it can be beat. Really good build quality and still going strong.

As the lamps have Red/Green emitters, all of the light is available and it will easily allow you to shoot out to 60yds. Both are good & dont tend to frighten off the rabbits as much as a white light either. (They use 2 x CR123 batteries and its worth having spares if you are out lamping for a while. You can get them & a charger on Ebay)

A lamp, scope mount and remote switch comes in at about a tenner delivered!

Green Cree Light

Converging lens (as recommended by Dave-G for a tighter beam)

You only need a good beam to 40 metres or so, so try one of these!

Advantages, takes 2 x AA batteries, easy to get from most shops, petrol stations, can get rechargables from the same retailer as well, focusable, either wide fold or very focused beam. Bright, this will do the job. Easily mounted, simple scope clamp, about a tenner. From Tesco's so if it goes wrong it is a blasted site easier to send it back than to Mr Hong of the Three Jolly Luck Fishbar in downtown Kowloon. They last. I dropped mine on my permission, found it 2 months later, after frost, snow, ice (last year), still works! Also run time, a good few hours per pair of AA batteries!
