Dusty87
I'm a complete newbie to beating but looking to get regular beating next season in Sussex/Kent. I have a springer spaniel bitch who I hope to trial in the future and would love to get her out working, she'll be a year old in October. All the best Chris
TIGHTCHOKE
Chris Nearer the start of the new season ring round the shoots and the gunshops, someone will give you the heads up. Most shoots will value a man with a good dog. Good luck

al4x
It is though unlikely the dog will be ready to do much beating wise at a year old, and you will ruin it for trialling unless you are extremely lucky. But as for beating its all about who you know and making contacts who already beat. If you can do weekdays even better
Dusty87
Maybe I'll leave the dog at home then! Weekdays are fine for me. Thanks for the advice.

white flash
Hi,If you intend to do field trials dont take your dog beating, wait to see how it comes on, if it is no good for field trials you will have a good dog for shooting.Good Luck
