I picked up a cheap Baikal 27e 1c ,paid pennies for it . The 28 in barrels are outwardly in bad nick with rust I cant shift but I think this gun is sold with a 2nd skeet and skeet barrel . If I were to find a spare , how would I stand with different serial numbers on barrel and receiver ? I guess there are a few out there . Cheers for info .

Hi vole,

The no. Which goes on your certificate is the no. Which appears on the action of the gun. The barrels might well have a different number.

My Benelli pump has the serial no. On the action and a different no. On the barrel - it's quite common with pumps and autos for people to have interchangeable barrels. I've just checked my Breda auto and the barrel doesn't even have a serial number on it. Depending on your police, if you have two sets of barrels for the one gun, they might want that fact recording on the certificate. Strictly speaking, they shouldn't ....

Kind regards

Andy
