Hi all after having a HMR for a few months i applied for a variation for a .223 for fox control. I also Included a covering letter stating that i also had a mentor if it was needed. Anyways variation sent closeon 3 weeks ago so i contacted FEO today and was told it was put in last week, he wasnt sure if it had been done or not but he can check when he arrives back at office. The land has already been cleared for a .223 but i do know that my mentor has not been contacted as of yet? He has mentored 6 times before though.

Thanks all

Lewis

Having known you for some time now, I would'nt allow you a pea shooter! I'm sure it will be okay, as you have passed all the criteria needed to own a firearm, when you applied for a .17HMR. And, knowing the mentor personally as well, you'll get the .223 with no problems, as your mentor is a highly skilled and experienced person when it comes to firearms. :whistling:

I put my FAC in for my variation 3rd of January. Phoned them a few days later to see if they had recieved it and she said it had and been put in for proccess already.

Aint heard anything else since and still no ticket back and i was only doing a one for one variation and not adding a caliber. I'l give it till next Monday and chase them up then if nothing happens.

Good luck with your variation mate and hope it doesn't take as long as mine is. By the way Steve cant hit a barn door with a banjo lol. Only joking he's a good bloke all round fair play.
