hawkfanz Posted February 28, 2013 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 hello guys just got a mondeo estate,having trouble gettin diesel in the tank the pump keeps knocking off if i try to get it in quick it takes for ever to fill,anyone have one and whats the secret of doing it,or is it an over sensitive pump.thanks guys. delburt0 Posted March 2, 2013 Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) Lol welcome to the mondeo I had one for a few yrs. just bought a jag that's the same, put the nozzle in with the filler pipe dead centre in the hole , pull the pipe just about all the way out so you can hear the fuel going in then hold down on the pump handle so the fuel pipe it touching the top of your filler hole, you will have to move about a little bit but it will stop knocking off , once you have done it a couple of times it will become natural,, ....
