sd21177
We went out last night on some of my permission for only the second time with my new Howa 1500. (picked it up at the show a couple of weeks ago) After wandering around a few fields and seeing next to nothing, well, apart from a few rabbits which my mate got with his CZ. We got the squeaker going and saw some eyes watching us at about 200 yds. Suffice to say I missed..... bloody shaking all over the place and being knackered from the walking probably didn't help. Perhaps I ought to get better sticks or a tripod? off the bonnet of the truck and in prone i have no problems hitting the target. Any suggestions folks? Anyway, we went on to some of my mates permission. He drove my pathfinder over the fields (they're about to be ploughed) and i had my rifle out the passenger window. Saw one fox but it scarpered and didn't see it again. Drove to another field and went through the gap and there looking straight at us was a vixen. My mate quickly turned the truck so i was side on and I hit it at about 50 yards. Heart shot so was lights out instantly. Here is the pic of her. A Great nights shooting and looks like more practice and kit needed.

steve_b_wales
Well done. For a solid, easy to use, and lightweight tripod, take a look at the HSF ones, sold by Sportsmanguncentre. They are excellent value for money. http://www.sportsman...Shooting Stick/
