Dougie_fn12
ok i know that on alot of forums people disbelieve the capabilities of using .177 for rats, many have there own opinions and they are welcome to them as we all are...but how some can say that .177 isnt any good for rats is beyond me... ive shot loads and i mean loads with .177 now and when hit face on like this one the pellet destroys every vital organ going....in its head and straight out its back end they just slump over, the blood is smeared because i moved the rat around and not because it jumped around as it didnt 30 yards with a daystate ft 4.53 ....bait was crushed dried pasta soaked in strawberry food colouring...they go mad for it

dazzyboi
But dont people use .177's for rabbits aswel? why is a rat so surprising?
Dougie_fn12
people have there reasons m8 as i stated above... for rats people normaly use .22 as its for close range and most ratting is done at close quarters and the .22 for a hard thwack..... many say .177 isnt upto the job for ratting as there isnt as much energy to cleany despatch them and to cause the shock to down them quickly so to speek...alot of rats are suprisingly hard when not hit spot on...they do make a run for cover...probably why people prefer .22 but im just showing that .177 does the job just as well if not better
ROB REYNOLDS UK
im not having it .22 is the only cal for rats big holes kill faster than little ones
