Was also looking at the RC50s because i need some more 3" lead for flighting geese. Any recomndations for a 3" lead shell? cumbrian top shot Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 I used RC40's last season on decoying and had good results with them and will def use them again, as for RC50's top shell for when your flighting geese in scotland inland. cumbrian top shot Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 The RC50's are a 3" shell, the Hull Solway are ok but lack the firepower of the big shells in my opinion, my top choice by far is Winchester XX BB's best shell ever made its a pity Winchester stopped producing them you may get a similar load from Winchester in a turkey load or something in lead. aister Posted March 17, 2013 Report Share Posted March 17, 2013 RC50's are a very good shell IMO. The 0's through half choke are devastating on geese. My all time favourite shell was the remington nitro buffered all singing all dancing copper plated 1 7/8oz american 2 but after my RFD's stock ran out and he found out the price of them now he wouldn't take them in again.
