Daz1986
Just bought a Land Rover disco with 80 k on the clock, though I was on a winner as it has no rust and low mileage however It leaks like a good one!!! Anyone know if its ok to drive with oil coming from the crank shaft seal?? Edited March 21, 2013 by Daz1986
aga man
it will be ok to drive but i would limit the use of it. get it booked in asap. it will need a a clutch kit aswell as the seal replacing. i presume it's a 300tdi.

Daz1986
It's a p reg 300tdi I had the lump cleaned today and they said its coming from the crank shaft seal and will be a fortune to fix!! He said I would need a new cam belt kit and the seal!! The plus labour!! Nothing about a clutch kit though.. aga man
beg your pardon daz i thought you meant rear crankshaft oil seal. a new cambelt kit and seal shouldn't break the bank couple hundred or so. to honest with 80000 on it replacing the belt is a good move anyway.
