pin
I was a bit flippant, sorry pal. What you want to do is make sure you are insured (basc or equiv) and have a look on fleabay for the chap selling "hunting cards" - he prints them up for you, has your BASC number on there etc. When you call do it in your work or smart clobber, try and find out the landowners name first (saves asking if the farmer is in when he answers the door to you). Best is to identify a problem (pigeon hitting a field, loads of rabbits) and knock offering to help out. If you get a no, always ask if you can call back, and always leave a card. Best of luck mate! Devon Fox
I would advertise for some beating at the local p.o or farm shops etc, you will more than likely meet some people who will hook you up, failing that get some beaters day any cigars going free? pin
Shooting is an insular thing, having only got back into it in the last 6 months or so I have more shooting now because of who I have met than any I could have got "on my own". It is remarkable just how many people will know each other because of one thing or another
