diddy
well all my tyres are now close to legal limit and they are 215/65/16 road tyres, I'm wanting to replace with a 225/70/16 insa turbo dakar my question is will these fit and are they a good tyre? The freelander T reg is for shooting only so most likely wont even do 2k a year.
karpman
225 may be pushing it without spacers mate. I'd probably go for grabbers anyhow a better ride and if your going places in a freelander you need them tyres for you could be asking for trouble lol. Mind saying that only thing that stops mine in sodding ruts and my bad driving lol Karpman

They are remoulds made for mostly off road or so people tell me if that is what you are after then go with them but if you want to drive on the road go with the grabbers.. Gilberts1989
Don't go with grabbers, they are **** off road. Stick with dakars or Saharas as your using it for shooting only so I take it you won't be doing a lot of motorway miles. My disco is used as a every day car aswel as a toy and I run special tracks all year round, so you will be fine with dakars
Gilberts1989
Here is a pic of my mates general grabbers 2 tyre. http://i1343.photobucket.com/albums/o793/gilberts89/15009792-0F51-42CE-B40B-22D52B78D83D-5473-000004221BEA25D9_zpsf396b0f2.jpg That is from going down a muddy track and he ended up stuck because the tread got clogged with mud
diddy
no motorway miles at all all my perms are local so im not going to even do 2k a year and considering its age im not keen on spending to much on it lol
Gilberts1989
Go for dakars, you will be wasting your time and money putting grabbers on, You will get stuck with them on. As for size, I can't help you there, I just wanted to jump in and stop people trying to swing your decision to all terrain tyres instead of muds. You could try a website called landyzone, they will help you out

Guess that's not to much of a concern on a t reg doing less than 2k a year mind Karpman
796
I have a navara and run dakars on it and had a set on a hilux previous to that the main thing to remember is that remoulds are a lot better than they used to be and have to be up to higher standards now days i use the navara every day and it has decent road handling all be it a bit noisey at speed they also carry weight really well always got tool box in the back and often tow 16foot ifor trailer and never get stuck
