Guest cookoff013
nobelsport vectan AS is as cheap as its going to be for this. nobelsport vectan A1 has multiple recipes for 30g fibre loads. but the pressure is very low with this recipe. it is not ideal. especially for such a large powder charge. stick with thevectan AS. without being silly, try not to waste powder buying random powders. it wastes money, and you`ll end up loading bullsh!t. find a recipe and load it. http://####.co.uk/loads1.htm cook. turbo33
I thought As was the way to go. Thanks Cookoff
Guest cookoff013
yup, its good for some 32g loads too. but just dont expect fast 32g loads. good solid performer, clean burning etc. Edited May 13, 2013 by cookoff013
sitsinhedges
I use 21grains of AS but use a z24 wad instead of fibre

turbo33
Thanks chaps FES is 21.60grn with fibre(Thanks for the link Cookoff) with a Fiocchi 615, a medium primer? So would I be right in thinking a cx1000, Winchester 209 would also be compatible with this data? Presumably a cx2000 would be too hot? Guest cookoff013
win209 is the industrial hot type. the americans only use the industrial hot type, thats rem209sts, cx2000, win209,fio616... the americans also have other hot primers such as fed209a, cci209M (magnum), and g-600 which is reported to be "hot-but not magnum" i would always try and use the industrial hot type. i find little point in using a mild / weak primer, i know the data must be followed religeously, and i do not suggest anyone substitute non equivalent components. but i tend to find the same or near identical recipes with the hotter primer, usually a loss of a few fps and / or less powder for a near equivalent loading. whats 100fps in reality?
