fishingtex
Has anyone else had any problems with the front suspension on 2011-12 rangers? Just taken mine to local Ford garage as it was making a bit of a noise front end. They said the suspension was leaking due to going off road. Having explained the only off road it has done is muddy field, muddy farmers lanes and wet grassy hills whilst out shooting. After a pause he asked what not proper off road and I replied no, not even gone over any rocky ground and the highest thing it has been over was the kerb as I turn out of my drive. After a pause he still said it was not covered under warranty as the suspension was only covered for a year??? After arguing the part was obviously not fit for purpose under The 1979 sale of goods act he said I better ring Ford Customer care as it was still not covered. Has anyone else had issues with the front suspension? I will ring Ford tomorrow and post their reply. I'm not holding my breath!!!!!! pontbeck
I have 08 plate with 66000 miles, go off road 2/ 3 times a week during the season and have had no trouble at all. I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend one.
fishingtex
Went back to Ford to collect my truck and all is well they said that they would cover the cost of the repair. My faith has been restored in the company. It's been a great shooting wagon so far, and i was disappointed at the suspension failure. But alls well that ends well. Kes
Not a ford ranger but our small mitsubishi had a faulty accelerator - actually working intermittently - car is 6 years old but only done 13K Mitsubishi fixed it free, I had to pay the diagnositic fee but parts and labour were nothing - I would be amazed if you cant get Ford to do the same but prepare your argument well before you ring.
