FalconFN
I'd like to say a massive thank you to bruno22rf (Chris) who very generously offered me his old Baikal 16 gage hammer gun, plus nearly 200 cartridges! I picked it up yesterday and I'm absolutely over the moon with it - I was hoping to get out this weekend to try it out but work and family commitments have made that impossible so, weather permitting, I'll be out on Monday afternoon. It was great to meet him and his wife (and the dogs) and what nice people they are. I hope that one day when I too find my cabinet overly full I'll be able to gift it to somebody else. Once again, many thanks to Chris, I really do appreciate your generosity.

Floating Chamber
You hang on to it, too.....and when you are ready, I'll get you reloading! I have a lovely Duco Belgian Hammer 16, with 30" barrels.
FalconFN
I was able to take the gun out today for an hour or so just to get the feel for it, and to my surprise I managed to hit a pigeon with my first shot! I then missed another 2 by some way and was tempted by a dog fox that stopped to sniff one of my decoys, but I resisted as I'm not confident that my poor shooting would kill it cleanly so I let it be. I'm not normally one for 'trophy' pictures but I'm so chuffed with the gun that I had to get a pic. Thank you once again Chris.
