scotslad
Plenty heaps of brash (esp if a bucket with holes cut in it in middle of brash heap) and seen pipes and pallets work well, also saves u needed to get ferrets to get rabbits out off holes. I have benn told by a very experienced trainer/trailer that if u can get only male/buck wild rabits they don't tend to dig warrens as much as the does will I have seen a few rabbit pens but not many are anywhere near 1 acre in size, seen some only 25-30m sq and the trainers say that is plenty for wot u need, u also dont need a massive ammount of rabbits/game
lee-kinsman
An acre would be good, the bigger you can have the better in my opinion that way your dog won't feel like it's in a big kennel. You'll be able to rotate areas that you work. Don't make rabbit warrens just put loads of brashings in there, plant some blackberry bushes. Don't bother with pheasants, if your dog is steady to rabbits it will be steady to pheasants and stick to proper wild rabbits. Sounds like a great project.
