steyrman
Hi Lads I am currently loading for my .243 using 35g of Varget powder and 95g Nosler Ballistic tip bullets. I have just acquired some of the same bullets in 55g and was wondering if anyone on here could recommend me a recipe for the lighter bullets Thanks in advance John
wymberley
The Nosler Reloading guide 6 gives 45.5gn for 3941 ft/sec Max, 43.5 for 3743 and 41.5 for 3544; the latter being judged as the most accurate. The most accurate powder tested is H414 - 52.5 for 3982 but being compressed at 101% There is no mention of Varget for the 95 grain - the grunt (and most accurate) being Viht N 560 at 44.5 for 3144. coyotemaster
I think Phil has done the leg work for you, Varget works pretty well right down the line-------if you have any or can find it. I have loaded some 58 vamx with 3031 and they shot well and some 65 vmax with Varget and they were quite accurate as well.
