hodge911
hi all just got hold of a griffon side lever tactical looking thing in .177 flavour . I know these are a cheapy toy but for what I am going to do with it it will suffice I am only going to knocking the ferals off the joists in the out buildings of a couple of my farms 20yds or so and the long tails at same distances don't want to have money tied up in something that is not going to be used a lot as I got a rimmie for use outside of buildings. only thing is the scope sits a little too far forward for me as the mount is fairly far forward [see pic1] so has anyone got any ideas on bringing back over a little was thinking maybe offset mounts [as pic no2] or maybe a holographic red dot sight . so can the wealth of knowledge that is P.W come up with something PLEASE NOTE THE PICTURE IS NOT THE ACTUAL RIFLE AS THAT HAS A DOT SCOPE ON it is a picture of the same type of rifle taken from the net mine has an absolutely NAFF 4x20 drinks straw on... lol ...you could probs hit more using a drink straw. cheers all Edited May 31, 2013 by hodge911
evo
you can attach a long weaver or picatinny rail on it and you,ll be able to mount the scope wherever you want,,,hope this helps ,,,,Evo

NIGHT SEARCHER
It is a plinking gun fit for shooting tin cans and paper targets. At best it`s only a 7 to 8 ftlb gun and should not be used on live vermin. Even Rats deserve a clean kill. And a pigeons vitals take some getting to. You need a Rifle that is doing 10.5 to 12 ftlb to make clean kill shots on pigeons. Watch last weeks Fieldsports Britain on shooting pigeons very interesting. I have seen pellets bounce of a pigeons chest shot from a 11 ftlb gun. Head shots are best but they move to much so you finish up going for chest shots or from the side going though a wing a pigeons breast bone is very strong.
