Baileys first experience

Hi all .. Well with the weather playing nice and me still of work waiting for the operation date I thought I'd walk the pup round my permission to see what he makes of it ?? He's already quite happily fetching fur covered dummy's back ...

So I took the HMR not that I was expecting to see much but I took it just incase !!

First rabbit was sat outside the warren at 75 yds so I opens the legs on bipod and laid down ... Then the pup jumped all over my back as he thought we were fun fighting !!!!so 30 seconds later when I managed to get him off ( remember I only have 1 working hand ) by this time the rabbit had noticed to commotion and ran another 10/15 yards to the left ?!?

Right finally I managed to shoot it ! Next rabbit was about 5/10 yards in front .. Pop down it goes ...

He did not bat a eye lid ! So we walked over and found them but he just started licking the blood ?

Last one was took on way back to car from top of bonnet ( only about 50 yards )

Even though I did not let him pick try to fetch them I'm pleased the way he reacted to the rifle .... I don't want to push him yet as he's only 14 weeks old ..

Great write up and photo, he's certainly a good looker. :good::good:

Are you sure about Baileys attitude towards shooting mate :hmm: looking at the photo he looks more like he is looking at you questioning why you shot those poor little furry playmates that he could have had so much fun with!:lol::lol:
