Deerstalkerlunt
I have just moved up to Dunblane for my new job and would like to get back into my deer stalking with a bit of lamping foxes from time to time. I havent been shooting for around a year due to University studies but I have a lot of experience in varies counties up and down the country. I never used to have a problem going up to a farmer and asking about shooting, although I seem to have lost my nack on asking a farmer for permission. I am mainly being put off as most of the farms seem to be estate owned which i gathered from all the farms having red doors, gutters etc or either forestry commission plots everywhere. I have my DSC 1, insurance etc. Any advice on asking permission in a new unknown area??
Bleeh
If it's Estates, get signed up for beating, get to know people working on the estate, take it from there.
mossy835
depends where you are, but shooting is getting a bit harder to get, but its still out there, as said get to know the people and take it from there.
