Pole Star Posted July 1, 2013 Report Share Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) English archer I think you put the wind up pw users when you said you were refused a cert on medical grounds & on the 3rd post you admitted you were done for assault in a road rage incident , now we dont know the ins & outs of your case but you should have told us on the first post & then perhaps people on here might have not got the wind up ! . If you have not been jailed for what happened there is some hope for you getting a cert one day & it may be some years down the road after you have remained clear of the courts & lets face on dirt level plant earth all sorts of people loose their rag with some of the idiots on the road , for instance an empty head medallion man lorry driver ran me off the road one day & we both pulled over & boy did I want punch the A hole ! but I stayed calm . My certs are were worth much more too me than a moments pure satisfaction decking an open shirted goon covered in medallions , shooting is my life & has been since I was a small boy with an air rifle . Now talking of air rifles did you ever think of taking up air rifle shooting for a while ? they are just as good to satisfy your hunting urge as a shot gun & just as much fun & can put meat on the table & you will learn lots from them . Then maybe in 2 or 3 years of good behaviour & a clean sheet then you can apply for your cert again . If you still have a driving licence, and I assume you do as your prepared to travel 40 miles, it might be worth using that to fight your cause to get your sgc back. If you are well enough to be behind the wheel of a car surely you can be trusted to be in possession of a shotgun. Good luck with your search. Tis' true, uncontrolled diabetes is a good reason not to be granted, but that can't be the case if you can drive either, you've a sound argument if your Dr is on board with it.
